A few months ago, I curated a list of five UK brands worth knowing in the streetwear/fashion space (You can read it here). A month later, I thought it’d be a good idea to follow up with another list. So, here we are! Some people on social media (not naming names) have mentioned that UK brands tend to copy and imitate each other. While I agree to some level, there are a few brands that manage to think outside the box and bring fresh creativity to the fashion space.
1. Parallel X Studio
Kicking things off with Parallel X, an accessory brand that I personally love. I own their bow tote bag (pictured above), which has become my go-to for everything—grocery runs, shopping, travel, you name it. The quality is amazing, and it’s undeniably stylish. Besides the tote, they offer a range of unique accessories, including fur earrings (yes, fur earrings—talk about creativity!), sunglasses, and belt bags. Check out this post to learn more about their belt bag collection.
2. Bubon
I discovered Bubon.Co on TikTok—where it seems everyone finds everything these days—and I was not disappointed. Although they don’t have a massive range of products yet, their ruched hoodies and track pants (which have been on my wishlist forever) definitely bring something fresh to the table.
3. Akino
Akino, Akino, Akino—where do I even start? This brand has been on my radar for a while now, and I’m obsessed with everything they release. From the Zuko hoodie to the Friction Jersey (both pictured below), I love how their pieces are both simple and versatile, making them perfect for any wardrobe.
4. TORA – LILY
Toralilly’s Sakura dress (pictured below) has solidified the brand as one to watch. Their designs always manage to stand out with a unique flair, adding that extra “oomph” to every style they create. Look at the detail on the dress! Absolutely love it.
5. Fifth House Muse
I’m still bitter about missing out on their Frolic set—it sold out before I could grab it! But the fact that their pieces fly off the shelves shows the community’s appreciation for their elegant and understated designs. Fingers crossed I can snag something from their next drop on 3/10/24.
These are brands I’ve been watching closely, and they continue to impress with their creativity and originality. I love how they resist following trends and instead march to the beat of their own drum (isn’t that how the saying goes?).
